We've industrialized everything... even our movement. At this time I have this appointment, at this time I go to work, at this time I eat, at this time I "workout".

It seems that everyone thinks it's no good unless it is giving a specific allotment of time and focus. It ("working out") becomes just another appointment... or prescription, and prescription adherence sucks... and all our prescriptions from the science are something like 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week...

We need to start promoting the "hit" that 10-20 push-ups here and there has similar energy stimulating benefits of coffee, plus all the other good exercise does.

... but then I might sweat, and sweating is so gross. Ha!

Yoish! Some good talk and will continue to read it more, you write well.
For myself the word "walk" applies to the feet and the word "work" is for the hands.
Coming from people that worked woood and leather with their hands. They used the word work, referring to working the shape out of the wood, or animal hide into some piece of clothing.
Have a kink in the muscle or attitude then move it and work it out, craft it back into shape and form.

You have lots to say about agriculture. Have you done in growing? There is a old term among the growers that i have worked with. They see a huge difference between agriculture or agravated-culture and sustainable, organic practices.

I will read more of what you write, some really good points to think about.

As Brother Dave would say, Let's take a look at the term "work-out." What does that mean? Well, it means working outside the norm. You and Herschel are saying to bring the "work" in, not having to go "out" to do it.

And if your employer gets irritated about you taking a little time to go up and down some stairs or walk around the building, point out to him how much time people who smoke are allowed to waste. And in addition to wasting that much time, those smokers are increasing the expense to supply them with insurance.

Start thinking of it as a "work-in" or as "workin'." After all, you're worth it.
